Library – Learning Resource Centre (LRC)
The Learning Resource Centre (LRC) is the nerve centre of BITT. The institute takes pride in its state-of-the- art library infrastructure and resources.
The full air-conditioned, well furnished and spacious reading room forms part of it. The library is entirely devoted to the academic needs of the students and faculty.
It offers a wide range of books and over journals on management, business and economic subject areas.
Important local, regional and national dailies in English and Hindi are also an important part of Newspaper section of the library.
State-of-the-art Information Technology (IT) products are in place to modernize its operations and services.
Completely automated Library Management System helps students to search available books at fingertips (Internet and Intranet), make reservations online, and borrow it at any time during working hours.
The library has a good number of audio and video CDs on management and related topics.
The Digital Library contains Multi-media PCs, with Internet connectivity, for online access of over 28,000 Journals, Case studies, E-books, and other Electronic Databases. It provides access to scholarly and peer-reviewed literature in the area of Management & Social Sciences. This also provides an interface to search Article reviews, Case studies, Interviews, and working papers etc.
BITT is a member of Emerald Management First, an award-winning Online Resource that brings a wealth of resources – including over 680 articles, 1,000 case studies, 360 interviews, and over 250,000 article reviews – direct to the desktop. It brings the latest and best ideas from the world’s top companies and business schools.
As a member of J-Gate, an electronic gateway to global e-journal literature, the Library provides seamless access to millions of journal articles available online offered by 9009 Publishers. It presently has a massive database of journal literature in Management & Social Sciences, indexed from 27576 e-journals with links to full text at publisher sites. J-Gate also provides comprehensive searchable database with 29,585,876 articles, with over 4,000 articles added every day.
With the help of Developing Library Network (DELNET) the users of our library can exploit the collection and services offered by DELNET and its member institutions in India and abroad.
DELNET provides access to more than 7 lakh bibliographical records in its Databases created/upgraded from time to time on its system for general use. Being a member of Management and Library Network (MANLIBNET),
BITT follows best practices of other prominent libraries.
Web OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) is a web based search interface for the library collection. Regardless of physical visit to the library, with the help of Web OPAC users can know the status of the library collection at their desktops. It brings library online.
